SCENE THREE
KEEPING UP APPEARANCES

Narrator: Hyacinth Blog is conspiring to get into the event of the year.

"Hello? Is this the Queen Mary? Mary Queen of Scotsblog?"

"Yesssss. To whom am I speaking?"

Hyacinth Blog: "Oh I'm terribly sorry. Let me introduce myself. I am Hyacinth Blog, daughter of the late great Billy Joe Bob Thorton Blog who killed 18 Trolls once with his bare toes and false teeth. Ahem, well, anyways, I'm calling to inquire about your upcoming Queen's Ball. My invitation seems to have been lost in transit. I understand how busy you are but could you please resend my invitation?

Queen Mary: "I'm sorry but all of my invitations were sent out by priority mail, certified, signed delivery, insured, with tracking numbers AND installed gps tracking devices. IF you didn't receive an invitation then you were NOT invited. Good day." (click)

(knock knock)

*Hyacinth answers the door*

Postman: "Your mail madam"

Hyacinth: "Shouldn't I have to sign for it?"

Postman: "No, it looks like junk mail maam."

*Hyacinth grabs her mail and slams the door in the postman's face. She opens it then throws herself onto the couch sobbing. It is an invitation written on toilet paper to the Annual Scotsblog Mountain Hillbilly Hoedown.*

Hyacinth: "Why I wouldn't be caught dead hanging out around my Blog family at some corny shindig! I must get into the Queen's Ball! I must! Everybody who is anybody will be there!"
